The Congregational Church in Killingworth is an active faith community, with many ways to connect with the community, to serve our neighbors, and learn more about God.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we have a variety of opportunities for you to grow in your faith. We believe Christian formation can take place by various means, including learning, participating in service opportunities, taking part in social activities, and community building.
Your children are welcome here! Children are a very important part of our congregation. They join us in worship each Sunday, sitting with their families for the first part of the service. We frequently have a children’s message where the children are engaged and participate.
Throughout the year the children participate in a variety of special events including our kick-off Sunday School Sundae, Thanksgiving pumpkin bread baking for our home-bound members, Christmas Pageant, Seder Supper on Maundy Thursday, etc.
We offer communion on the first Sunday of the month and encourage children of all ages to participate with their parents. All of the children and youth ministries participate in our safe church policies.
Our faith calls each of us to reach out in mission to those in need around us, locally, nationally, and internationally. A few programs we support are:
CROP Hunger Walk
Eddy Shelter Feeding the Homeless
Haddam-Killingworth Backpack Program
Sharing Food & Clothing to the Homeless
Save the Children Youth to Youth Ministry
Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries Providing Food and Fellowship
Interested in getting involved?
If you would like to help with any of our outreach programs, call the church office or send us a message. We would love and appreciate the help.
