Worship With Us

What to Expect

The Congregational Church in Killingworth is an active faith community, with many ways to connect with the community, to serve our neighbors, and learn more about God.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we have a variety of opportunities for you to grow in your faith. We believe Christian formation can take place by various means, including learning, participating in service opportunities, taking part in social activities, and community building.

Visiting Our Church

Whether you are a family seeking a community of worship, a spiritual seeker who’s just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed believer who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here.  You can expect a warm-hearted greeting, an invigorating time of worship, a relevant message, and fellowship.

Children are a very important part of our congregation and are welcome here! They join us in worship each Sunday, sitting with their families for the first part of the service. We frequently have a children’s message where the children are engaged and participate, followed by Sunday School.

Sunday Worship 10 a.m.

The Sanctuary is now open for in-person worship.  Masks are optional.       Join us in-person, Zoom or Facebook each Sunday at 10 am!

Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month.
All of God’s people are welcome at the table, including children.

Baptism

The sacrament of baptism is the rite of welcoming people into the community and care of Christ’s church. It symbolizes the cleansing forgiveness that is ours through Jesus and reminds us that God’s love is a gift, freely offered to all who will receive it. We are especially grateful to baptize infants, children, and adults who claim The Congregational Church of Killingworth, UCC as their faith home.

For more information or if you would like to schedule a baptism, please contact the Church Office at (860) 663-1789.
